    Alle Lebewesen werden zu Rauch … weiter versteh’ ich’s nicht. Uff. Dieses Alt-Griechisch ist fast so schlimm wie bayrisch.

    Wahrscheinlich sowas wie:
    “Wenn alle Lebewesen rauchen würden, wäre der Tabak um ein Vielfaches teurer. Welch göttlich-olympische Vorstellung! Dann fiele mir das Aufhören wesentlich leichter!”

    (Das Alt-Griechische ist eine sehr rationelle, knappe Sprache)

    Se le cose si mutassero in fumo a distinguerle basterebbe l’olfatto.
    Si toutes choses devenaient fumée, les narines les distingueraient.

    Assoziativ fällt mir sofort ein: “Stille” als Regieanweisung in Ödön von Horváths Theaterstücken und die wiederholt eindrucksvoll mitkomponierte “Stille” in Luigi Nonos großem Streichquartett “Fragmente-Stille, an Diotima” (gespielt zum Beispiel vom Arditti Streichquartett).
